Tivo grabbed a great episode of Nova on the earthquake and tsunami near Japan on March 11, 2011, with the dramatic title Japan’s Killer Quake. Aside from being an extremely large earthquake, it’s an extremely well documented one, both in terms of media and scientifically. There’s some dramatic footage of earthquake phenomena such as soil liquefaction and a ship at sea encountering the tsunami. The episode is available online at the PBS website.
